Janelle Lewis

Janelle Lewis has had a diverse work experience, beginning with a Cashier role at Auntie Anne's LLC in 2013. In 2015, they moved to Follett as a Sales Associate, where they were responsible for shipments, invoices, store appearance, counting registers, opening and closing the store, customer support, financial aid vouchers, data entry, and running the store when the manager was gone. In 2016, they moved to EXPRESS as a Customer Sales Lead Manager, where they were responsible for visuals, schedules, payroll, associate onboarding, employee supervision, stock and inventory, store security, sales, goals, counting registers, opening and closing the store, and bank deposits and change for the registers. In 2017, they returned to Auntie Anne's LLC as a Cashier (seasonal). In 2018, they moved to Boatsetter as an Associate Product Manager, where they were responsible for project management, resource allocation, analyzing the needs of various product stakeholders, developing the product to drive user engagement and improved functionality, using agile development methods, monitoring user bug reports, prioritizing releases, curating features, API integration management, creating PRDs and specs, writing issues in GitLab/JIRA and assigning tasks for each sprint, as well as managing cross-departmental collaboration between the Operations, Product and Development teams. Janelle also held the role of Product Operations Lead at Boatsetter, where they were responsible for department support, operational duties and managing the product feedback loop, as well as Customer Experience Manager and Customer Experience Specialist, where they were responsible for user support, clerical duties and supervision tasks, customer service, data entry, sales, basic accounting work, credit card chargebacks and training new employees in the support department.

Janelle Lewis is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supervision and Management from Broward College, which they expect to complete in 2021. Janelle has also obtained four Technical Certificates from Broward College in Business Specialist, Business Operations, Business Management, and Accounting Technology Specialist. In 2017, they obtained an Associate of Science in Marine Environmental Technology from Florida Keys Community College, as well as a Professional Research Diving Certificate in Coral Reef Biology and Management. Janelle also obtained an Associate of Arts in Art/Art Studies, General from Florida Keys Community College in 2017. In 2015, they obtained a Technical Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (Advanced) from Broward College. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications from LinkedIn, Becoming a Product Manager: A Complete Guide in 2022 and Product Management First Steps in 2021.
