Sean Jackson, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Sean started their career as a Corporate HR Manager at Sterling Business Forms, where they were responsible for managing HR activities for a print manufacturer with 250 employees. Sean also served as the Director of Environmental Safety and ensured compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Following this, Sean worked as a Corporate HR Manager at Klamath First Federal, where they handled various HR functions including policy implementation, benefits administration, employee discipline, and recruiting. Sean was also a part of the Senior Management Team and contributed to shaping the corporate direction and vision.
Sean then joined Unified Western Grocers as a Division HR Manager, where they oversaw HR activities for the Pacific Northwest Division of the largest independent grocery wholesaler in the West. Sean managed labor relations, training, HR legal compliance, and provided guidance on benefits and compensation design.
Afterwards, Sean worked as a Facility HR Senior Generalist/Manager at the American Red Cross, where they focused on recruitment, training, and improving employee engagement. Sean ensured compliance with state and federal regulations and tracked the performance of over 100 staff members.
Sean joined Bob's Red Mill as the Senior HR Generalist/Assistant Manager and later became the Director of Human Resources. In these roles, they led initiatives on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and provided project leadership for employee engagement and safety. Sean also played a key role in executing strategic initiatives and managing the business pandemic response plan.
In addition to their corporate experience, Sean has been an active member of professional associations such as SHRM and Portland Human Resources Management Association (PHRMA).
Sean Jackson, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, completed their Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications from George Fox University, where they studied from 1982 to 1985. In addition to their academic achievements, they received the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI in February 2022, as well as the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in October 2021.
