Mirela Rahneva, OLY, currently serves as the Partnerships Development Manager at KidSport Calgary & Area since March 2023. An accomplished athlete with Bobsleigh CANADA Skeleton since October 2013, Mirela is a 2023 World Championship Bronze Medalist and competed in the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, finishing 5th, as well as the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, where a 12th place finish was achieved. Mirela has won the Crystal Globe three times and earned a silver medal in the Team Competition at the 2018/2019 World Championships. Additional professional experience includes roles as a Sales Representative at Neo Financial, Courtesy Agent at True North Mortgage, Community Engagement Representative at ENMAX, Event Staff at WinSport, International Intern at AIESEC Canada, and Research Assistant at the University of Guelph. Mirela holds a Master's degree in Innovation Management from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Travel and Tourism from the University of Guelph.

Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton is a non-profit organization and the national governing body for the sports of bobsleigh and skeleton in Canada. BCS exists to create, nurture and support World and Olympic champions. BCS believes strongly in leading by example in the important values that underscore any sustainable community: INSPIRE Integrity, National Pride, Sportsmanship, Professional, Innovation, Respect Excellence.
