Bobsleigh CANADA Skeleton
Ryan Sommer currently serves as the High Performance Manager and Administrative Consultant for Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton, where responsibilities include management and administrative support, human resources, and event coordination. Previously, Ryan held various roles within the Canadian Olympic Committee, including Village Administration Services Officer for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics and Village Administration Lead for the Gangwon 2024 Youth Olympic Games. As a former athlete for Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton, Ryan also has experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at WinSport, focusing on personalized training plans for various sports teams, and worked as a Wildland Firefighter for the Government of Alberta. Ryan's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge, a Graduate Certificate in High Performance Coaching and Technical Leadership from the University of British Columbia, and ongoing studies in Business at Queen's University.

Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton is a non-profit organization and the national governing body for the sports of bobsleigh and skeleton in Canada. BCS exists to create, nurture and support World and Olympic champions.
