Thomas Gysin has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Thomas started their career at SR Technics in 2002, where they held roles as an Overhaul Engineer CFM56-5C and a Customer Support Engineer CFM56-5C. In these positions, they were responsible for technical support, fleet management services, and representing SR Technics in industry teams. In 2009, they became a Program Manager and later a Product Manager CFM56 at SR Technics, where they were in charge of bidding processes and building business cases for engine maintenance contracts. In 2012, Gysin joined Santos Dumont as the Powerplant Manager, overseeing engine analysis and technical advisory services for clients. Thomas'srole then transitioned to Head of Aircraft Engine Services, leading a team of specialists and providing engine services to support clients. Thomas joined ORIX Aviation in 2015 as the Vice President Engine & Asset Management, where they were responsible for managing engine assets and overseeing leasing and trading activities. Gysin then moved to their current position at BOC Aviation in 2018 as the Vice President Powerplant, where they oversee engine and APU fleet management and maximizes asset value.
Thomas Gysin obtained their HF (Professional Bachelor) degree in Aeronautical Engineering (Flugzeugtechniker HF) from SWISSAIR Engineering School, completing their studies from 1996 to 2000. Subsequently, they pursued their BSc degree in Engineering and Management at Fernfachhochschule Schweiz from 2009 to 2012.
