Joe Astrachan

Joe Astrachan is a highly experienced professional in the field of family business, currently serving as Board Chair and Founder of Generation6 since October 2021. Astrachan holds the position of Affiliated Professor at the Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership at Jönköping International Business School and is a Family Business Fellow at the Smith Family Business Initiative at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. Additionally, Astrachan has been a Visiting Professor for Leadership & Dynamics in Family Businesses at Universität Witten/Herdecke since 2005. Astrachan serves on the Board of Directors for multiple organizations, including Foley Equipment, V&V Supremo Foods, Inc., Anderson Automotive Group, RedHead Family Business Corporation, and Boddie-Noell Enterprises. Astrachan earned a PhD, MPhil, MA, and BA in Organizational Social Psychology from Yale University between 1979 and 1989, reflecting a strong academic background that complements extensive practical experience in family enterprises.
