Dan Graves has a diverse work experience in the manufacturing industry. Dan started their career in 2002 at Lund Manufacturing Co. Inc. as a QA/QC Inspector, where they worked until 2004. After that, they joined Premier Tooling Inc. as a QA/QC Inspector from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, they started working at Bodine Electric Company as a CNC Setup and Operate until 2013. Later, they became a CMM Programmer at the same company from 2013 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Quality Engineer at Bodine Electric Company, starting in 2019. In this role, they coordinate with different teams to improve product quality, develops new measurement techniques, and works on resolving quality issues with suppliers.

Dan Graves has a diverse education history. In 2001, they attended Indian Hills Community College for CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician. However, it seems that they did not obtain a degree from this institution. Dan also received training in AUKOM Level 1 and 2 from Made to Measure, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing from On Site Training, and Calypso CMM Programming Basic and Advanced, PiWeb Reporting from Zeiss Training Center. It is unclear when these trainings took place and whether they obtained any formal degrees or certifications from them.

In addition to their educational experiences, Dan Graves also holds certifications in Firefighter I from Fire Service Training, LLC, which they obtained in May 2000. Dan also obtained a UAS Remote Pilot License from the Federal Aviation Administration in February 2018.
