Michael Howard has decades of experience in enterprise software, specializing in database, cloud, security, and machine learning (AI). Currently an Entrepreneur in Residence at Roadrunner Venture Studios, Michael evaluates deep tech for future ventures. Most recently, Michael served as the CEO of MariaDB Plc, where they led significant growth, took the company public on the NYSE in 2022, and drove revenue to $53 million ARR. Michael's previous roles include leadership positions at C9, Ingrian Networks, Veritas, and Oracle, and they have also been a board member for various companies. They studied computer science and Slavic languages and literature at the University of California, Berkeley and reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
