Jim Fairbairn

Jim Fairbairn is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leading industrial and engineering companies. Since March 2024, Fairbairn has served as the Chief Executive Officer at Bodycote. Fairbairn held the position of CEO at Megger from November 2017 to March 2024, and during time at Howden Group from July 2009 to October 2017, Fairbairn was the Executive Director for the Power, Environmental and Process Division, overseeing significant projects for major clients. Additionally, Fairbairn has contributed to the Royal Society of Edinburgh and The Royal Academy of Engineering as a Fellow since 2017 and 2013, respectively. Prior roles include CEO of Clyde Materials Handling and managing director of Clyde Bergemann Limited, driving growth in various sectors. Fairbairn holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and an MBA in Management from Loughborough University.
