Hannes Koolman

Hannes Koolman has a diverse background in pharmaceutical research, with extensive experience in medicinal chemistry. Hannes began their career at Merck KGaA as a PHD Researcher, focusing on drug development. Hannes then joined Sanofi as a Master-Student, further expanding their knowledge in the industry. Koolman went on to work at Abbott as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where they conducted research and gained valuable experience. Hannes then transitioned to AbbVie, where they held the positions of Senior Scientist and Senior Scientist II, contributing to various scientific projects. Currently, Koolman is employed at Boehringer Ingelheim, serving as the Head of Antiparasitics Medicinal Chemistry, where they lead a chemistry team and oversees research projects in the animal health sector.

Hannes Koolman earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2005. Hannes then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the same university from 2005 to 2007. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry at Technische Universität Darmstadt from 2007 to 2010.
