Jan Nygaard Jensen

Jan Nygaard Jensen is an accomplished professional in the fields of computational biology and digital sciences, currently serving as the Global Head and SVP at Boehringer Ingelheim since October 2019. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Novo Nordisk, where roles spanned from Deputy Site Head at Novo Nordisk Research Centre Oxford to various leadership positions in computational biology and bioinformatics. Jensen has been instrumental in guiding innovative research strategies and fostering collaborations between Novo Nordisk and the University of Oxford. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Diabetes from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and further leadership training from institutions such as Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. Jensen also founded and managed Volkl Tennis DK APS, focusing on the distribution of tennis equipment in Denmark.
