Sorin-Claudiu Rosca

Sorin-Claudiu Rosca is a Principal Scientist I in Medicinal Chemistry at Boehringer Ingelheim, having advanced from Associate Principal Scientist since February 2021. Prior to this, Sorin-Claudiu held postdoctoral researcher positions at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung and The University of British Columbia, focusing on α-C–H functionalization of amines with alkenes and catalyst design. Sorin-Claudiu completed a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry and Fine Catalysis at Université de Rennes I, where significant work included research on homogeneous catalysis. Initial research experience as a Research Assistant at Babeș-Bolyai University involved the development of new bulky m-terphenyl pro-ligands. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Chemistry from Babeș-Bolyai University.
