Bill Carter is currently the Vice President of Advanced Production and Automation at Boeing, a position held since 2025. Prior to this, they served as Vice President of Materials and Manufacturing Technology at Boeing from 2022 to 2025 and held significant roles at DARPA from 2018 to 2022 and HRL Laboratories, LLC from 2014 to 2018. Bill completed post-doctoral research at both UCLA and the Naval Research Laboratory, following their Ph.D. from Harvard University, where they studied from 1990 to 1997. Additionally, they were a Visiting Scientist at GM Research and Development Center in 2006.
