Blake Laster is an accomplished engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech. Blake began a career as a Technician at Environmentally Friendly Energy LLC, followed by meaningful contributions as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op at Altec, where productivity and efficiency improvements were key focuses. A Continuous Improvement Intern role at both Moog Inc. and Volvo Trucks involved enhancing manufacturing processes through data analysis and lean methodologies. Currently, Blake serves as an Industrial Engineer at Boeing, with previous experience as a Process Engineer I and Associate Engineer at James Hardie, where Blake led projects aimed at improving fiber-cement manufacturing processes. Additional academic achievements include being a five-time Dean's List honoree and a Green Engineering minor.
