David L Joyce

Mr. Joyce brings to the Board vast aerospace, engineering and manufacturing expertise, as well as a demonstrated track record of safety leadership and operational excellence. He developed his in-depth knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing the aerospace industry at General Electric Company, including during 12 years of service as President and CEO of GE Aviation. During this period, he led customer and product support for more than 19,000 global engines across 500 airlines customers and oversaw the implementation of a division-wide and industry-leading safety management system. He began his 40-year career at GE as a product engineer for GE Aviation and spent more than a decade designing and building military and commercial engines, before serving in a variety of other leadership positions in GE Aviation, including vice president and general manager of Commercial Engines. Mr. Joyce is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and earned both bachelor of science and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in business finance from Xavier University.

Mr. Joyce is a member of the Aerospace Safety Committee and the Compensation Committee.
