Derek Flett is an accomplished engineer with a strong background in mechanical and aerospace engineering. With a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, Derek has developed expertise in various engineering roles. Derek's experience includes serving as a Manufacturing Engineer at Genie, participating in production optimization, and working as an Airport/Community Noise Acoustic Engineer at Boeing, where planning and testing for noise reduction in the 737-MAX were performed. Currently, as a Vibration Lead Engineer at Boeing, Derek leads initiatives focused on vibration analysis of flight vehicle designs. Additional experience includes research on crow vocalizations at the University of Washington Bothell and developing an autonomous acoustical recorder for environmental studies.
