Heather Havens

Heather Havens, PhD, is currently a Systems Engineering Manager at Boeing, focusing on Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and operations analysis. With a rich background in maritime security and modeling, they previously held roles as a Senior Systems Engineer at Boeing and Vice President of Strategic Programs at the National Defense Industrial Association. Their earlier experiences include serving as a Knauss Sea Grant Fellow with the U.S. House of Representatives and managing the Navy Maritime Acoustic Modeling & Simulation Program at Leidos. Heather's academic journey includes a PhD in Physical Oceanography from the University of South Florida and an MS in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina.
