John Hopp

John Hopp is a driven and highly motivated structural engineering manager with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Applied Mathematics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. They served as an F-16 Crew Chief in the United States Air Force from 2000 to 2006, where they supervised maintenance crews and diagnosed mechanical problems. John worked as a manufacturing engineer at Boeing Commercial Airplanes from 2011 to 2013, ensuring parts met specifications and collaborating closely with design engineers. From 2013 to 2023, they held the position of Structural and Payload Design Engineer at Boeing, where they developed and maintained the configuration of air vehicle surfaces and co-authored "Fundamentals of Surfacing for Designers."
