Jose Arango

Jose Arango is a Mechanical and Structural Design Engineer at Boeing since June 2022, with prior experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Piping Rock Health Products from September 2021 to May 2022. In that role, Jose developed preventive maintenance plans and contributed to CAD drawings under the supervision of the VP of engineering. Previously, Jose served as a Veterans Service Representative at Stony Brook University from May 2019 to May 2021, collaborating with staff and faculty to support veterans, and engaged as a Peer Academic Success Coach at the Academic Success & Tutoring Center in late 2018. Jose also served in the US Army as a wheeled vehicle mechanic from January 2012 to September 2017, where responsibilities included diagnosing vehicle issues and overseeing maintenance of significant equipment worth over $500,000. Jose holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (3.72 GPA) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (3.61 GPA), both from Stony Brook University.
