Lydia McDowell is a Senior Wing Structures Engineer with a passion for moving people safely through the skies. With a background in structural analysis and over a decade of experience at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Lydia has honed expertise in computational methods and manufacturing processes. Previously, Lydia contributed to aircraft structures as a Service Engineer, Liaison Engineer, and Structural Analysis Engineer, and also served as Lead Wing Manufacturing Engineer for the Hyperion project at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Lydia holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University and the University of Colorado at Boulder, respectively. Outside of work, they enjoy teaching classes and traveling in an Airstream with their partner and Boston Terrier.
