Michael Richey

Michael Richey, Ph.D., is an accomplished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in tool design and learning sciences. Richey served as a Tool Designer at PDS Technical Services for The Boeing Company, focusing on the design of complex tooling for the 777 Wing. Currently, Richey holds multiple academic positions, including Professor of Practice at Virginia Tech, Adjunct Professor at the University of South Australia, and Visiting Professor at the University of Bath, contributing to collaborative research and strategic industry relationships. In his role as Chief Learning Scientist and Associate Technical Fellow at Boeing, Richey leads the integration of learning sciences into workforce development programs. Richey’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Strategy, Programme and Project Management from SKEMA Business School and various certifications in project management and leadership from prestigious institutions.
