Michael Stoia

Michael Stoia is a Technical Fellow specializing in Integrated Thermal Systems at Boeing, where they develop advanced power and thermal management solutions for future flight concepts. With over 25 years of applied R&D experience in thermal, power, and propulsion systems, Stoia has contributed significantly to sustainable and hypersonic technologies. Their career includes pivotal roles as a Space Propulsion Engineer and Thermal R&D Engineer at Boeing, where they undertook critical projects involving cryogenic propellant systems and fluid dynamics. Stoia earned a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds an M.B.A. from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution. In recognition of their outstanding contributions, Stoia was named the 2023 Boeing Engineer of the Year.
