Mike Bestor

Mike Bestor is a manager at Boeing, where they oversee the propulsion system for the Space Launch System. Previously, they served as a technical team lead at Boeing Research & Technology, supporting the design and manufacturing of core stage main propulsion components. Mike has also worked as a senior metallurgical engineer at Watring Technologies, Inc. and held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, focusing on fire-side corrosion and high-temperature oxidation prevention. They earned a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering and a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama, along with a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University.
