Monika Bubacz

Monika Bubacz, PhD, is a composite engineer with over 20 years of experience in material formulation, selection, and testing, as well as component and system design, structural analysis, and manufacturing, specializing in aerospace, automobile, and high-performance applications. They served as the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department and a Professor at The Citadel from 2014 to 2023. Their previous roles include Research Graduate Assistant at the University of New Orleans and Research Associate at Pittsburg State University. Monika was recognized as the 2018 Charleston Engineer of the Year by the Charleston Engineers’ Joint Council and is currently a Payloads Engineer at Boeing, leading 787 Interiors Design efforts. They hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans and a Master's from Poznan University of Technology.
