Nelson Akwari

Nelson Akwari is a seasoned professional with extensive experience at Boeing, where roles have included Senior Director of Fabrication and Director of the Interiors Responsibility Center in South Carolina. With a background in engineering, Akwari has served as an Operations Superintendent and Site Leader, and previously held positions as Manager of Boeing Research & Technology and Materials, Process & Physics Engineer. Akwari also contributed to the UCLA Athletics Department as an Academic Student Services Mentor and has a history as a professional soccer player in Major League Soccer and the United States Soccer League. Academic credentials include a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, an M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering, and a B.S. in Chemistry/Materials Science, all obtained from UCLA, as well as a foundational education from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory.
