Peter Blasco is an Autopilot Control Laws Technical Lead Engineer at Boeing, where they have worked since August 2015. They earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University, focusing on aerodynamics and wind turbine performance. Their master’s research culminated in a journal paper entitled "Effect of Icing Roughness on Wind Turbine Power Production." At Boeing, they have supported Certification flight testing for the 787-10 Dreamliner and have contributed to Autopilot control modes for the 777-9, currently leading the Autoflight control laws team for the 777X and 787 programs. Outside of work, Peter enjoys hiking, cooking, baking, gaming, and hands-on projects with flying models and small computing platforms.
