Robert Canty is a Senior Scientist at Boeing, specializing in Space System Survivability. With an extensive career that began at TRW Defense Systems Group as a radiation shielding analyst, Robert has continued to advance in the aerospace field since 1996. They are currently responsible for spacecraft survivability across various environments, serving as the Lead Survivability Engineer for all-electric spacecraft. A continuous member of the American Nuclear Society for 25 years, Robert also enjoys mentoring the next generation of engineers and is particularly interested in Space Weather and its impacts. Robert holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
