Sophie Block

Sophie Block is a highly skilled professional with a strong background in both education and quantum science. Sophie served as a Teacher Assistant at RENEGADE GIRLS, where the focus was on teaching basic tech skills to young girls, fostering confidence in the sciences. Experience includes management and lifeguarding with American Pool, and bartending at various establishments including Grey Lady Group and Old Man Hustle. Sophie's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of San Francisco and a Master's degree in Quantum Science & Technology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Currently, Sophie is a Quantum Applications Software Engineer at Boeing, following a role as a QML Research Intern at NASA Ames Research Center and as a Feynman Quantum Intern at Fermilab, where contributions were made to significant research initiatives in the quantum field.
