Thomas Taylor

Senior Technical Fellow

Thomas Taylor is a Senior Technical Fellow and Engineering Unit Member at The Boeing Company, where they have worked for 34 years, specializing in the design, analysis, testing, and certification of electrical systems. They led the team responsible for the certification of the first FAA-certified Electrical Wire Interconnection System (EWIS) aircraft, the 787-9. In addition to their role at Boeing, Thomas serves as a FAA Designated Engineering Representative for Taylor Aerospace Consultants, LLC, and teaches courses on EWIS at the University of Kansas. They also hold leadership positions as the SAE AE-10 High Voltage Committee Chairman and a voting member of SAE AE-8A/D. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University.
