Tom Smith

Tom Smith has an extensive background in aerospace engineering, with a career spanning over four decades. Beginning as a structural designer at Rockwell International - NAAO from 1983 to 1996, Tom contributed to notable programs such as the B-1B, B-2, and C-17. Transitioning to Boeing in 1986, Tom advanced to the role of Technical Fellow, focusing on aircraft conceptual design with an emphasis on hypersonics. Tom is a long-standing member of AIAA from 2000 to 2014. Academically, Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
