Ty Mancao

Ty Mancao is an accomplished aerospace engineer with a strong focus on aircraft design and human-AI interactions. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory, Ty is involved in noise studies for the FAA ASCENT Project 64 and developing eVTOL UAV integration frameworks. Previously, Ty held diverse roles, including Outreach Officer and Subteam Lead at GT Design Build Fly, where Ty achieved first place in significant aviation competitions. Ty interned at Boeing as an Advanced Concepts Aircraft Configuration Design Intern, contributing to regional jet design and alternative-fuel emissions studies. Academic achievements include a Bachelor's and ongoing Master's degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, notable research publications, and recognition at conferences.
