Managing Director, Middle East and Africa at Boeing

Vasgen Edwards has over 20 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. Vasgen is currently the Managing Director, Middle East and Africa at Boeing.

Edwards began their career at GE Capital in 1999 as the UK Region Manager. In 2006, they joined Lloyds Banking Group as MD&Head of Corporate Asset &Structured Finance. Vasgen was with Lloyds for four years before joining National Bank of Abu Dhabi in 2010 as MD&Global Head of Aviation and Transport, Head of Clients Europe/Americas.

At National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Edwards was responsible for setting strategy for a new industry vertical, global client selection, P&L responsibility, capital management/deployment, coverage leadership, and portfolio calibration. Vasgen grew the portfolio materially, delivering a number of global firsts for the bank and receiving awards for numerous transactions, including Best Aviation Bank in the MiddleEast and Africa.

In 2016, Edwards added a client coverage role for Europe and Americas in 2016 for 5 geographical locations. Vasgen left National Bank of Abu Dhabi in 2017 to join Boeing as Managing Director, Middle East and Africa.

Vasgen Edwards has an educational background in both treasury and history. They first attained their Association of Corporate Treasurers qualification before completing a Bachelor's Degree in European Theirtory from the University of East Anglia.

Their manager is Tim Myers, President, Boeing Capital Corporation. They are on a team with Jonathan Boudreau - Managing Director, Americas and Leasing Customer Finance, Doug Emerson - VP, Chief Risk Officer, and Thomas Hansen - VP, Asset Management.
