William A. Ampofo II

VP, Supply Chain, Boeing Global Services at Boeing

William Ampofo is Vice President, Supply Chain, Boeing Global Services, a division with operations in over 70 countries and 300+ locations around the world. In this capacity, Ampofo leads all aspects of the supply chain function, including distribution and component & engine maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO), and is responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient and repeatable service offerings to the end customer.

Prior to this appointment, Ampofo served as Vice President, for the Business Aviation, General Aviation & OEM Services business unit, where he held P&L responsibilities, successfully establishing Boeing as a market leader in this sector. Ampofo joined the company as Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain, for AvialI, a Boeing Company subsidiary, where he was responsible for Operations, Supply Chain, Capital Facilities, Global Repair Services, Quality and the Chemical Management business.

Before joining The Boeing Company in April 2016, Ampofo spent 22 years at United Technologies Corporation (UTC), holding roles of increasing responsibility in Finance, Information Technology, Corporate Strategy and Operations at its Corporate Headquarters, Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky, and UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) divisions. While at UTAS, Ampofo served as Vice President, Supply Chain, Commodity and Cost Management, responsible for leading its ‘One-Company’ Supply Chain initiative and driving sourcing and cost reduction strategies across its $5 billion supply base.

William is a member of Executive Leadership Council (ELC) and currently serves on the board of directors for the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) and the Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC). In addition, he is a past advisory board member for Howard University’s Supply Chain Center of Excellence.

Ampofo has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Adelphi University, an MBA from George Washington University and has completed executive education coursework at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, Institute Superieur de Gestion in Paris, France and INSEAD.
