Jeffrey Reidenauer

Chief, Marine Minerals Division at Bureau of Ocean Energy Management

Jeffrey Reidenauer is an accomplished marine science professional with extensive experience in the field of ocean energy and natural resources management. Currently serving as Chief of the Marine Minerals Division at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management since December 2013, Jeffrey previously held several leadership positions, including Chief of the Marine Minerals Branch and NEPA/Natural Resources Team Leader at URS Corporation. Their career also includes a managerial role in coastal resources at The Louis Berger Group and serving as Principal Scientist at Environmental Management Systems, Inc. Jeffrey holds a PhD and MS in Biological Oceanography from Florida State University, and a BS in Marine Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, a bureau in the U.S. Department of the Interior, is the Federal agency that manages the nation's natural gas, oil and other mineral resources, and the development of offshore renewable energy on the outer continental shelf (OCS). The program is national in scope and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. Regional offices are located in New Orleans, Louisiana.; Camarillo, California, northwest of Los Angeles; and Anchorage, Alaska.
