Sinan H. is an experienced energy economist currently working at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management since May 2022, focusing on offshore petroleum, natural gas, renewable energy, and critical minerals markets. Sinan serves as the Executive Secretary for the National Science and Technology Council's Critical Minerals Committee since May 2018. Previously held roles include economist and country specialist at the U.S. Geological Survey, where expertise in the economy and mineral resources of Turkey and surrounding regions was developed. Sinan has also worked at the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the U.S. Census Bureau, bringing extensive analytical skills and experience in economic data processing and estimation.
