Mario Vanhellemont

Mario Vanhellemont has extensive experience in the agricultural sector, particularly in fruit cultivation. Since January 1996, Mario has served as the Zaakvoerder at Fruit Vanhellemont. In addition to this role, Mario has been actively involved in various organizations as a bestuurslid, including Boerenbond's Sectorvakgroep Fruitteelt since November 2021, UNIZO Hageland since January 2005, and Straffe Streek | Streekproducten Vlaams-Brabant since March 2004. Mario also contributed as a bestuurslid at BelOrta from October 2023 to May 2024 and at Belgische Fruitveiling cvba from June 2017 to October 2023. Mario holds a degree in agrarisch hoger onderwijs van het korte type in Land- en Tuinbouw, Fruitteelt from Thomas More University of Applied Sciences, which was completed between 1988 and 1991.
