Dennis Upton

Dennis Upton has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dennis currently holds the position of Director of Advanced Mission Solutions Division at Bogart Associates of Northern Virginia since January 2023. Prior to this, they were an Automation Test Lead and an Engineering Team Manager at the same company. In previous roles, they worked as a Test Engineer, with a focus on testing web applications, web service interfaces, and manual and automated functional and performance testing techniques. Dennis also served as a Performance Test Lead, where they analyzed performance issues, designed and executed tests, and led a small team of performance testers. Before joining Bogart Associates, Dennis worked as a Senior IT Specialist at IBM Rational Software and a Senior Programmer at Lockheed Martin. Dennis also has experience as an Engineer at Thomson Consulting, a Software Engineer at CMC Datacomm, a Software Engineer at Sprint, and a Technical Staff member at Sprint International. Dennis'swork experience spans several decades, with their earliest role as a Programmer at IBM starting in 1988.

Dennis Upton pursued their education from 1981 to 1984 at Hereford High School. Dennis then attended the University of Maryland from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computers. Following that, Dennis pursued their Master of Computer Science degree in Software Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, graduating in 1993. In terms of additional certifications, Dennis obtained CPR/AED and Wilderness First Aid certifications from the American Red Cross in June 2014.
