Mehmed Ozkan

Rector at Boğaziçi University

Mehmed Ozkan is the current rector at Boğaziçi University. Prior to this, they served as an executive board member for the Inter-University Council in Turkey from 2018 to 2021. Mehmed was also previously with Bogazici ArGe Biomedical Engineering and Management Consultancy Ltd. and TEMEG TÜBİTAK, where they served as an executive board member and vice director of Institute of Biomedical Engineering, respectively. Ozkan began their career as a research assistant at Vanderbilt University before moving on to BRIDGESTONE JAPAN as a senior researcher.

Mehmed Ozkan received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Mehmed also holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University.
