Kazım Akalın is currently a Board Member at Boğaziçi Ventures. Kazım has also served as Sr. Business Development Manager at K2 Network, Sr. Business Analyst at Fleetwood Enterprises, and Marketing Research Analyst at Marcology. In addition, they are a Co-Founder of both Joygame and Gamesultan & Paytogo.
Akalın began their career in 2001 as a Marketing Research Analyst at Marcology. Kazım then transitioned to working in business development, taking on the role of Sr. Business Analyst at Fleetwood Enterprises in 2004. In 2006, they became Sr. Business Development Manager at K2 Network, where they worked until 2007.
In 2008, Akalın co-founded Gamesultan & Paytogo with the goal of providing an online gaming platform for Turkish players. The company was later sold to the Malaysian MOL Group in 2013. That same year, they also co-founded Joygame, which was eventually sold to Korean Netmarble in 2014.
Since then, Akalın has continued to work in business development and venture capital through their current role at Boğaziçi Ventures.
Kazım Akalın holds a Master of Arts in Marketing Communications from California State University-San Bernardino's College of Business and Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Istanbul University. Kazım also has a certificate in Global Business Management from the University of California, Riverside.
