Scott Nicholas has been a Ski Instructor at Bogus Basin Ski Resort since December 2017, where Scott first started skiing in 1964 and has taught hundreds how to enjoy the sport. Additionally, Scott has been an Insurance Professional at Mtn West Ins since January 1985, specializing in Technology Liability & New Venture with expertise in various lines of Business Insurance. Currently pursuing an Associate's degree in Resort Management at Boise State University.

The Treasure Valley's local winter recreation area is located just 16-miles from downtown Boise, Idaho. Summers are cooler in the mountains and Bogus Basin is the perfect daytrip getaway for hiking, biking and picnics. Reserve one of our lodges for your next conference, reunion or retreat, or for the perfect outdoor wedding & reception. During full winter operation, Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is open 7-days a week with 2,600 acres, 7 chairlifts (including 2 high-speed quads), 37km of nordic trails, and three terrain parks that offer wide variety for skiers and snowboarders. 165 lighted acres on the front and back sides of the mountain plus 3.8km of solar-lit Nordic trails provide recreation after hours, after dark. Mountain amenities include lessons for ages 3+, equipment lease and rentals,a retail shop, child care facilities, 3 day lodges with food service and the Pepsi GoldRush Tubing Hill. These various winter activities & programs support our mission to provide accessible, affordable and fun mountain recreation and education for the Treasure Valley community.
