Frans Hoogeveen has extensive experience in the field of psychogeriatrics. Frans began their career as a Researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Leiden in 1984. From there, they worked as a Psychologist at GDDV Health Care from 1990 to 1993. Frans then joined Florence as a Psychologist and remained there until 2019, specializing in dementia care. In 2000, they started their own company, Hoogeveen WTAG, where they continued their work as a Specialist in Dementia Care. In 2009, they became the Editor in Chief of DENKBEELD, a Psychogeriatrics journal published by Springer-BSL. Additionally, they also held a role as an Associate Professor in Psychogeriatrics at the Hague University of Applied Sciences from 2010 to 2017.
Frans Hoogeveen attended the University of Leiden from 1976 to 1984, where they pursued a Dr. degree in Experimental Analysis of Behavior. During this time, they also studied at the University's Faculty of Social Sciences, specializing in Developmental Psychology and Experimental Analysis of Behavior.
