Dr. Derek Peterson

Dr. Derek Peterson currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Boingo Wireless since 2011 and as an Adjunct Professor at Southern Utah University since September 2021. Previously, Dr. Peterson was an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Technical University for eight years, teaching undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Information Technology. Dr. Peterson's extensive experience in the technology sector includes positions such as Director of Product Management and Marketing at Oracle Corporation and VP of Operations at United Online. Additional roles include Manager of Billing Operations and Development at GoAmerica Communications, Director of Global Training at Portal Software, and various consulting positions at Deloitte Consulting and Andersen Consulting. Dr. Peterson holds a Doctorate in Computer Science with a focus on Enterprise Information Systems from Colorado Technical University, a Master's in Education with a specialization in Computer Technology from American InterContinental University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
