Gonzalo Bruce

Assistant Vice Provost, Global Education at Boise State University

Dr. Gonzalo Bruce is the Assistant Vice Provost for Global Education at Boise State University. In this role, they provide strategic leadership and coordination for all international education initiatives at the university.

Dr. Bruce has over fifteen years of experience in international education, having served as the Dean of International Education at Emporia State University, Director of International Programs at East Stroudsburg University, and Director of International Academic Cooperation at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.

A leader in campus internationalization, Dr. Bruce has extensive experience in the design of globally-focused study abroad programs, the development of new partnerships for internationalizing the curriculum, and the deployment of diverse strategies aimed at expanding international enrollment.

Dr. Bruce earned their doctorate in Higher Education Administration from The Ohio State University in 2007. Gonzalo also holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of California, Riverside and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.

Gonzalo Bruce has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Higher Education Administration from The Ohio State University. Gonzalo also has a Master of Arts (MA) in International Public Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. Gonzalo's Bachelor's degree is in Gonzalo'story and Geography from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Gonzalo also has certification from IDEO U in Communicating for Impact, Storytelling for Influence, Impactful Presentations, and Hello Design Thinking.
