John Uda

Interim AVP, Department of Public Safety at Boise State University

John Uda has been working in law enforcement for over 40 years. John started their career as a Special Agent with the FBI in 1979. In 2004, they left the FBI to work for the Department of Homeland Security - Transportation Security Administration, where they served as the Assistant Federal Security Director for Law Enforcement. In 2008, John returned to Boise State University, where they served as the Executive Director of Campus Security and Police Services until 2014. John then took on the role of Assistant Director of the Department of Public Safety at Boise State University, where they have been serving since 2016.

John Uda's educational career consists of a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from Boise State University.

John Uda reports to Marlene Tromp, President. John Uda works with Nichole Moos - Acting Director, Jeramiah Dickey - Executive Director of Athletics, and Max Davis-Johnson - AVP, Office of Information Technology.
