George Ölund

George Ölund has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. George is currently working at Bokusgruppen as the Chief Architect since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at ASSA ABLOY Group from 2017 to 2023, where they held roles such as Global Digital Commerce IT Architect and E-business Solution Architect. From 2008 to 2017, they worked at IBM as an IT Architect. Before that, they were an IT Consultant at Epsilon Information Technology AB in 2007. George also worked at Karolinska Institutet Biobank from 2004 to 2007, first as an IT Manager and then as a Systems Developer. Their early career includes a graduate student role at AstraZeneca in 2003 and a research assistant role at Karolinska Hospital from 1999 to 2000.

George Ölund completed their MSc in Computer Science from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2004. Before that, they obtained an MSc in Biomedicine from the Karolinska Institutet between 1995 and 1999. Prior to their university studies, George Ölund attended Blackebergs Gymnasium, where they pursued Natural Sciences without completing a specific degree. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the following: Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in May 2022, Front-End Web Development with React from Coursera in May 2020, Front-End Web UI Frameworks and Tools: Bootstrap 4 from Coursera in April 2020, Architect Profession Certification - Level 2 Expert from IBM in January 2017, Open Group Master Certified Architect from The Open Group in December 2016, Certified IT Specialist from The Open Group in May 2014, and SCJP Sun Certified Java Programmer for Java 5.
