Hannes Karlström

Hannes Karlström began their work experience in 2014 as a Summer Intern at Johanneberg Science Park AB, where they developed a market strategy for improving recognition amongst students in Gothenburg. Hannes then worked as a Summer Intern at BeInZero AB, where they investigated the commercial potential of a patented technology. In 2016, they had a part-time job as a Customer Support at Nordea and worked as a Summer Intern at SKF Group, where they created and managed production schedules and developed inventory and procurement plans. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Partner and Operation Manager at Studieakademin, where they provided private tutoring and crash courses and developed marketing and operational strategies. In 2017, they worked as a Summer Intern - Junior Venture Manager at Covestro, where they were involved in launching a global platform for B2B commerce of chemicals. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Management Consultant at Capgemini Invent, supporting clients in consumer products and financial services with strategic and operational topics. From 2019 to 2021, they participated in the Volati Management Program at Volati AB, supporting in completing ad-on acquisitions, conducting corporate development projects, and participating in the Lex Asea dividend of Bokusgruppen. Currently, they are the Head of Business Development & Growth at Bokusgruppen, responsible for driving the growth agenda through M&A, new ventures/businesses, and collaborations.

Hannes Karlström has a diverse education history, starting with their studies at the Chalmers University of Technology from 2012 to 2015. During this period, they pursued a combined M.Sc/B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2015, Hannes had an opportunity to broaden their horizons and gain international exposure by attending the Delft University of Technology as an exchange student. Here, they focused on Technology and Policy Management, further expanding their knowledge and skills.

Driven by their interest in innovation and economics, Hannes pursued a Master's degree in Management and Economics of Innovation at the Chalmers University of Technology from 2016 to 2017. Alongside this program, they also engaged in the study of Economics with a minor in Industrial and Financial Management at the University of Gothenburg, a commitment that lasted from 2013 to 2017.
