Vinay Apte

Vinay Apte has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries and roles. Vinay is currently working as a Product Lead for Shopify apps at BOLD. Before that, they founded and served as the Chief Product Strategist at www.our-vacations.com. Vinay also worked as a Consumer product lead at Lovingly and as a Senior Product Manager at OpenText.

Prior to these roles, Vinay worked as a Product Manager at CaseWare International Inc. and as a Senior Digital Product Manager at Cognizant, where they were responsible for strategy consulting and product management for leading Canadian banking and financial services firms. Vinay successfully pitched new digital fintech customer experiences, delivered MVP API products, and identified cross-selling opportunities. Vinay also worked as a pro bono Process Improvement Consultant at Toronto Police Service and as a Pro Bono Strategy Consultant in Residence at University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.

Vinay started their career as an Assistant Product Manager at Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. where they coordinated between business and technology, co-ordinated with cross-functional stakeholders, and managed teams to implement HR system enhancements.

Vinay Apte obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Consulting & Business Design from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, completing their education from 2014 to 2016. Vinay also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics, which they earned from the University of Mumbai from 2001 to 2005. Apart from their formal education, Vinay gained several additional certifications in various fields, including Product-led Certification from Pendo.io, Advanced Google Analytics from Google, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from KPMG.
