Daina Burnes

Daina Burnes is the co-founder and CEO of Bold Metrics, a company that provides an online apparel retail platform. Daina has also served as a mentor for the Target + Techstars retail accelerator and as the co-founder and CIO of Appraiso.

Daina has a passion for helping businesses enter the digital era and for making shopping experiences more seamless for customers. Daina has used their skills in measurement prediction and ML-driven technology to power size recommendations and custom clothing for various brands. In 2015, they repurposed this technology as the Virtual Tailor, which has helped clothiers worldwide digitize their customer body measurements.

Daina Burnes has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering from the University of Guelph and a Master of Science in Molecular Medicine from the University of California, Los Angeles. Daina is currently working towards their PhD in Molecular Medicine at UCLA.
