Jonathan Riehl

Jonathan Riehl has over 15 years of professional work experience. Jonathan began their career as a Summer Research Intern at GrammaTech in 2005, followed by a Software Architect role at Econnectix. In 2008, they took on a Research Scholar role at the University of Chicago, and then an Independent Researcher and Developer role in 2010. From 2011-2015, Jonathan held the position of Chief Scientist at Resilient Science, Inc., followed by a Software Development Engineer role at Amazon. In 2016, they became the Director of Software Engineering and Senior Software Engineer at Bold Metrics Inc., and then in 2019 they took on the role of Founder at Operator-9 while continuing their Senior Software Engineer role at Bold Metrics Inc.

Jonathan Riehl received their BS in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1996. Jonathan then continued their education at the University of Chicago, earning an MS in Computer Science in 2004, followed by a PhD in Computer Science in 2008.
