Jaume Cruces Torrecillas

Jaume Cruces Torrecillas has a diverse work experience in engineering. Starting in 2022, they will be a Graduate Composite Design Engineer at BOLD and a Project Engineer at SOLUTE Ingenieros. From 2019 to the present, they have been a CAE Engineer at Barcelona Technical Center, where they have performed internal and external aerodynamic CFD simulations for SEAT's new car models and reported the results. From 2017 to 2019, they were an Aerodynamics Engineer at BCN eMotorsport, where they designed aerodynamic devices and performed CFD simulations to assess their behaviour and interaction with the rest of the elements of a Formula Student car. Jaume also analysed the flow field with post-processing techniques and proposed new concepts based on the results. Their work at BCN eMotorsport improved the cornering stability of the car with a completely new front wing.

Jaume Cruces Torrecillas completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 2014 and 2020. In 2021, they obtained a Master of Science in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Cranfield University. Jaume also holds two additional certifications: an Expert Surface Design CATIA V5 (160h) certification from formacad - Formación | Ingeniería | Consultoría obtained in December 2021, and a Trackside Aerodynamics certification from Motorsport Engineer obtained in August 2020.
